Creative Connect

EVENTS & COMMUNITY ACTIVATION

A reason to gather.
A place to belong.

Community events turn shared spaces into places people know, use and enjoy. We bring creative planning, engaging promotion and practical coordination to the occasion.

RELEVANT COMMUNITY EVENT EXPERIENCE

Mosaic Festival.

Food, music, dance and culture brought together in The Piazza. Our experience includes event curation, promotion and coordination within the Pulse community programme.

Experience from Wentworth Point informs our approach to future community-event conversations on the Sunshine Coast.

FROM FIRST CONVERSATION TO EVENT DAY

A good idea.
A workable event plan.

  1. 01 A shared purpose
  2. 02 A place to gather
  3. 03 A reason to return

FOR DEVELOPERS, COUNCIL & COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Plan it around
the people.

The starting point is listening: to residents, local businesses, the place team and the organisations already contributing to the community.

We welcome conversations with developers, councils, place teams and local partners about programmes that fit their communities.

What a first brief could cover

  • Audience, purpose, location and budget
  • Programme concepts and participation
  • Local suppliers, performers and partners
  • Promotion, signage and event information
  • Responsibilities, approvals and event documentation
  • Feedback and a useful post-event review

STARTING POINTS FOR DISCUSSION

What could happen
in your neighbourhood?

These are programme ideas for a future brief, not booked events or past Aura projects.

Neighbourhood gatherings

Welcoming occasions that make it easier for new residents to meet and local groups to participate.

Seasonal celebrations

A considered mix of activities, creative promotion and local participation around a shared occasion.

Culture, food & connection

Programme ideas shaped around the interests of the community, the setting and the available budget.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE · CLEAR ATTRIBUTION

Experience from
community event work.

Patrick’s event-management work for Pulse / the community events programme includes community event planning, communications, supplier coordination and operational administration.

This experience was undertaken in Patrick’s Pulse event-management role. Pulse events are not presented as Creative Connect-owned events or as projects delivered for Aura, Stockland or Sunshine Coast Council.

Mosaic Festival is featured above as a specific example. Mosaic is shown as experience within the Pulse community programme.

Clear responsibilities from the outset.

Site permissions, permits, insurance, supplier availability, safety responsibilities and accessibility requirements must be resolved in the project brief. A concept is not a commitment to deliver a particular event, date or outcome.
